Cloud Explosion is pushing the boundaries of Rock, Jazz and improvisation with an enchanting vintage sound and engaging grooves. Their music is reminiscent of the Rock and Roll from the late 60s and 70s with beautifully melodic songs contrasted by heavy riffs and psychedelic passages. To their mostly original songs they add tunes from the South American folklore and the improvisational freedom these three musicians internalized coming from the world of Jazz.

Spacepilot takes us on a journey thorough time and space. Floating musical particles are set in motion and the velocity of sound is transformed into sensory experiences and human emotions. Moving from Rock to Funk and Techno with influences from Jimi Hendrix to Bitches Brew, from Talking Heads to Can the trio has two special guests on this album: trumpeter Tim Hagans (who performed with Dexter Gordon, Joe Lovano and has led the NDR Big Band) adds a new dimension to the sound. The beat poet and performance artist Jack Daniel brings humor and storytelling to the soundscapes.

An entirely improvised live set with each track flowing to the next (the group has been inspired by jazz musicians of the late 20th century, and the idea that every performance creates a new suite). Created with a mix of analog drum machines, vocals, vintage synths, guitar, bass and samples, they used that background to create a record that falls somewhere between minimal house and techno.
